Just read on Slashdot that AT&T are to close their research labs at
cambridge. This is the current home of VNC a cool multi-platform remote display application I use everyday. I hope they find a new home for it.

I’ve been working on documentation pretty much all day today. God it’s boring! It’s a high level design document for a new feature on the main project on which I work.

I’m even working from home tomorrow (Tuesday) so that I can get on with it without being disturbed. I’m sure there will be at least three phone calls from the office.

But I will attempt to at least get the document finished in draft form.
I’ve gotten lots of hand written notes down on the requirements docs and some sketchy sections in the doc.

Ah well! It’s one of the things I have to put up with in order to get paid to mess about with these damn computers all day long

My seven year old daughter wrote the following note to her mother this morning:
Mum,
I will never forgive you! And I
don’t like you any more.

P.S. If you are looking out
for my best interests
how come I don’t like it!

This as a result of a misunderstanding the previous evening.
At least it didn’t feature the ‘H’ word So I suppose there’s some hope.
After school today everything was back to normal.

I’m usually the one who cops for her anger, but today was Mum’s turn.
Luckily we were both able to laugh it off.

Just found this example chapter from Wrox Professional JSP.
It’s a good summary of the various different architectures one may use with JSPs, Servlets, and JavaBeans.

The book is pretty good too.
