NTL Proxy Servers

NTL’s default transparent caching proxy server is still broken! Has been since midday yesterday.
Thanks to Robin Walker’s excellent Cable Modem Troubleshooting Tips I’ve been able to adjust the browsers on all the machines to get round it.

I realise that what I should have done is changed my Squid proxy on the firewall to use one of the ones that’s still working. That way none of the browsers would have needed changing. Plus I’d still have local caching.

Update: For those looking for a proxy. I have set up an experimental proxy here

Sunday

A lazy day today :-)
Steve, Kim, and Megan came round. Paula came to do Jan’s hair. I got mine cut too; and Steve his, and Jan did Paula’s hair.

Jamie’s got a heavy cold, which she hates. I’ve started reading a new book; Robbie Williams, Somebody Someday.

And that’s about it, just hanging around chatting, playing with the kids; Steve was playing card tricks on Jamie and Megan. Jan made a nice sunday dinner.

Prompted by yesterdays fun with the Micro R/C cars, I played Micro Machines V3 on the PSX, which I haven’t played for ages.
