   Curious…”Marked some old posts as new”. Is there a difference in the database? Does comparing a current export with the backup reveal any difference on those posts?

   Pi,
   I’m not new to WordPress planet though. The only thing new is the version of my blog! That’s what really weird, I’d not even made a new post (before this one) simply upgraded to 2.0.5.

   I’d wager that it’s an issue with the planet software. I didn’t see any WordPress blogs exhibit this behavior in my feed reader after 2.0.5 was released. Your modification timestamps haven’t changed.

   There’s one way to test your blog description theory… change your description in a week or two and see what happens.

   Might I respectfully suggest you consider very carefully the titles of any posts that could appear in planet? I imagine there is a large percentage of people who read the headlines in their Dashboard, but never read the stories. The title of this post could easily be interpreted to mean your upgrade was difficult or problematic.

   I don’t mean to sound bitchy or disrespectful. I’m just sayin’.

   Well, I did have a problem which seemed to be directly related to my upgrade to 2.0.5

   Absolutely. I don’t dispute the relevance of your chosen title. I’m just saying the title could make the problem sound much worse than it actually is. Probably thousands of people have read the title, but not the post.

   It’s a problem that a user has had - I think the title works fine.

   The title (along with the multiple, irrelevant, posts) made me read the entire post. So what if someone read the title but not the post? They must not really care about the problem, eh?

    I am looking for a blog service for our office to use and we need it to be as accessible as possible for two visually impaired staff members. I came across an old post of yours on the accessibility issues of Wordpress 2.0. Were these issues resolved at all in your latest upgrade? Any insights into this issue would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

    Hi Mary Beth,
    I haven’t looked into the accessibility of either WordPress 2.0.7 or WordPress 2.1. I know that some of the issues I originally blogged about were addressed, but at the time not everything was.

    I will try to investigate in the next couple of days.
