Xmas Skin For Journalized Theme

As a seasonal treat I have released the Xmas Skin I occasionally use on this blog as an extra skin for my Journalized theme.

You can download the xmas skin here:
xmas-skin-2.7.1.zip.

  • Once you have downloaded it. Unzip it, then upload the files to your journalized/skins directory.
  • Go to Appearance -> Journalized Options in the admin screen, and select the new skin.
  • If you want a picture of Santa to appear along side your blog title, type ‘santa.gif’ into the ‘Header Image’ box and uncheck both ‘Add the image in the background’ and ‘Turn off the blog title’.
  • If you want your header to be full width, check that box and set header image height to be 138 pixels (that worked for me)
  • Finally save your settings and you are done

I hope you enjoy this bit of seasonal frivolity. 😉

Almost ready for WordCampUK

I’m almost ready for my trip to WordCamp UK. I’m going first thing tomorrow morning by train. “It’s easier by train”, and as it happens, the car is broken and in the menders!

I forgot to mention that I am also on the Code Surgery panel on Sunday too. If you have any coding problems there is still time to submit your questions to the surgeons.

There are still a couple more hours to buy tickets. Please come along, I look forward to seeing you there.

Wordcamp UK – Change of Venue

After some last minute changes (and upsetting a few people) there is now a new venue for the WordCamp UK 2008 event.

The new venue is The Studio, it is still in Birmingham, and in fact quite close to the previously planned venue. The Studio has a directions map and their main web site lists all the features. The event will be hosted in ‘Atrium Bar’ and the adjoining ‘Open’ room.

Someone kindly set up a Google Maps directions page.

For full details go to the WordCamp UK wiki.
